She was born September 25, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to parents, Lawrence and Sophie Mickolic. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence Mickolic.
Mae is survived by her husband of 56 years, Arnold Falksen; daughters, Karen McCammon and husband Mark, Susan Kaiser and husband Steve; son, Steven Falksen and wife Renae; 6 grandchildren; sister, Vera Simpson and husband Bob; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Death is a great clarifier. It shows us what is important." E. Kubler Ross. Mae's life was a great clarifier. She was a shining example ofvalues and strength derived from growing up during the Great Depression with immigrant parents, and of devotion to family and friends.
Mae always said, "Walk the middle road, place the accent on the right sylLAble, and learn to laugh.
