Erling Skjalgson Skjalgson
Notater: På Boknafjorden, Rogaland Fylke, Norge. He was with King Olaf Tryggvason on the campaign to Wendland. At first he fought against Olaf, but after the Battle of Nesjar came to reconciliation, whereby Erling had to give up some of their County. It was later breach between him and the king. Erling then went to King Knud in England. When he got home, he tried to surprise the king, as this would risk from Viken to Trondheim, but Erling was unlucky and was even surprised. In a skirmish at Heavy Islands Erling was defeated and had to surrender. King reproached him, and he was killed by his brother and enemy Aslak Fitjaskalle .
